Festival trip checklist Packing for days in a field: offline tickets, shoes and weather layers, a power bank, water and cash, earplugs, camping kit and group agreements. [ ] Read the site rules and prohibited list Bag size, containers, food, umbrellas, chairs, equipment. Arguing at the gate is pointless and binning things hurts. [ ] Save tickets and documents offline There may be no signal in a field. A screenshot of the ticket, a copy of your ID and the campsite address stored on the phone. [ ] Take comfortable closed shoes and a spare pair You will stand and walk a lot, and fields get wet. New shoes at a festival guarantee blisters. [ ] Pack for the forecast and layers for the night A waterproof, a warm layer, a hat. Nights in a field are colder than the daytime forecast suggests. [ ] Charge the power bank and bring cables The phone is your ticket, map, wallet and contact. Power points are usually absent or queued for. [ ] Plan your water: a bottle and refill points Check which containers are allowed. Dehydration in the sun creeps up and ruins the day. [ ] Take cash in case the signal fails Card terminals in a field are unreliable. A small amount in small notes covers food and transport. [ ] Bring earplugs For sleeping at the campsite and for protecting your hearing at the stage. They cost almost nothing, and ringing ears afterwards is not normal. [ ] Take sun protection Sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses. An open field has no shade all day, and you feel it on day two. [ ] Pack the camp: tent, mat, sleeping bag for the temperature Plus a head torch, wet wipes and bin bags. Check the tent is complete at home, not in the field. [ ] Mark your tent with something visible A flag, tape, a string of lights. At night every tent looks the same and coordinates do not help. [ ] Agree a meeting point and a backup plan A visible landmark, a time, what to do if the signal dies. A crowd destroys any \u201cwe'll call\u201d plan. [ ] Pack a compact first-aid kit Blister plasters, painkillers, an allergy remedy if you use one, and your own medication. [ ] Plan hygiene without facilities Wet wipes, hand sanitiser, a towel, toilet paper. Shower queues are part of the format; plan around them. [ ] Take snacks and find where the food is Peak-time queues and field prices are normal. Something of your own in the bag saves the evening. [ ] Leave valuables at home and plan storage A crowd, a tent and rain are no place for expensive gear. Check whether lockers are available. [ ] Tell someone at home where you are The site address, who you are with, when you expect to be back. Ordinary caution when travelling. Checklist from Unload: https://unloads.me/c/music-festival
